Onyx represents everything I wanted this space, and this season of my life, to stand for.
Onyx is a stone known for its strength, resilience, protection, and grounding energy. It isn’t flashy or loud. Its beauty comes from its depth. It carries a quiet confidence, much like the women who sit in my chair.
As a stylist, a business owner, and a single mom, I’ve learned that true beauty isn’t perfection, it’s perseverance. It’s showing up, doing the work, and rebuilding when life asks you to start over, and becoming stronger through that new start. Onyx symbolizes that journey for me.
I wanted a salon that felt different from the traditional bright, trendy beauty space. A place that felt elevated, intentional, moody, luxurious, and deeply personal. A place where women could slow down, feel cared for, and leave feeling more confident than when they walked in.
Onyx isn’t just a name. It’s a reminder that beauty and strength can coexist. That softness and resilience belong together. That the most powerful transformations often happen beneath the surface before anyone else can see them.

Salon owner & Stylist
Hi! I’m Kristian, most know me as Huntsville Blonding Babe. Your local blonding expert, salon owner, and proud single mom to an incredible daughter with Down syndrome, Madeline.
For the past 6 years, I’ve been extremely passionate about helping women feel seen and confident through customized color, healthy hair, and calming salon experiences. Behind the chair, you’ll find someone who values connection just as much as beautiful hair.
When I’m not in the salon, I’m raising my daughter, who has taught me more about resilience, gratitude, and unconditional love than I ever thought possible. Being both a business owner and a special needs mom has shaped the way I serve my clients—with empathy, authenticity, and a deep appreciation for the people who trust me with their hair and their stories.
I believe great hair can change how you see yourself, and I’m honored to be a small part of that journey.

For nearly a decade, I’ve built my business around my passion for luxury hair, genuine connection, and creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. As Onyx’s Extension Specialist, I specialize in custom color and a variety of luxury hair extension techniques, designing each service to fit your unique goals and lifestyle.
My focus is always on creating healthy, low-maintenance hair that gives you the confidence of having the hair you’ve always dreamed of.
